riddle me this.....

why would a 2004 bike (tuning forks on the tank, lights on) have an early set of clocks on it (no odd mph numbers)?
is the mileage stored on the ecu or the odo.
wouldn't want to point my mate towards a lemon.
that is all!

Would it have been an import, and had the clocks changed from kilos to an older set of MPH? Just a thought.
