Going to my mate's house over the weekend for a rideout before I leave for the weekend, up in Manchester. Used to live up there myself, but I was a cager, so I only know the motorways.
Any ideas for a loop, starting and ending in Manchester, with a length of about 4 / 5 hours? He's a cruiser rider, so nothing too arduous...

Riding a cruiser, he is better off sticking to the motorways :pokefun

Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Yeah, but I'm not! Hoping having him try and keep up with me will convince him to buy a proper bike!

		Not done this route but
A57 to ladybower resevoir ,A6187 to Castleton ,then back to MC on A624

Its just a ride

That works pretty well, since he lives in Levenshulme, so we can cut straight to the A57. Finally get to do Snake pass as a biker! Ha!
How's life treating you, Ralphie?

Find Macclesfield then up and over the Cat an Fiddle (A537)into Buxton,  take a left onto the A5004 to Whaley Bridge  then follow signs for Hayfield then Glossop ,at Glossop  traffic lights turn right on to the Snake Pass road (A57) at Ladybower you could either carry on to Sheffield and pick the Woodhead Pass up (A6102 then A616 and A628 wood/h) or turn right and head for Castleton and back home
Needless  to say all these roads are mostly 50 limit and  riddled with ----
rear facing average speed cameras Cat/Fid
Camera vans Snake usually 2 on a weekend
And unmarked bikes & cars  both
But I find attack the corners (you will be doing well to get round most any faster than 50mph any way ) and slow down the straight bits,  and if its your first time round  don’t try to keep up with the locals cos you’ll only hurt yer self
Have fun paul

And from Ladybower you could always go over Strines Moor up to near Stocksbridge, you could could have a chuckle at your mate going around the hairpin bends  :lol
