Some of that is out of date, for instance the idea of stopping bikes for road-side emissions checks was a proposed amendment which has been withdrawn.

It's been grumbling on for a while now, MAG organised a national protest about it last year. More info in the links at the top of this thread:

Yes, IIRC the figures quoted were something like 40,000 bikers around the country. Unfortunately it got virtually bugger all coverage in the national media ![]()
