Coolant pump change

Hi.. I've an 02 Fazer1000 and the coolant has started drip quite quickly from the little port on the sump. I'm thinking of new pump, then reconditioning the old one to have a spare. Back on the road sooner that way.
Any tips regarding changing it please?

There used to be a very good guide on FZ01A but that forum is now dead. It’s quite a big job as I remember, kits were available to rebuild. 

There are definitely some YouTube videos on it, also applies to R1 of similar vintage to widen your search.

If I remember correctly, you can do the job with the engine in the frame.

An ABBA Skylift would make the job easier.

Red98 would be the man to ask for advice as this was a project he completed a few years back. Although I must admit I haven’t seen any posts from him for quite a while.
