I was always a Bridgestone man until I had Michelin road 4s on my Fazer, Michelins for me now.

It's easier to get more money than it is a day of your life back.

New PR4 on the front, Half worn PR3 on the rear, soon to be PR4.
Interested to hear how folks find the PR5.

PR5 on the rear, still good, sticks to the ground like glue. New PR5 on the front from next year, also new suspension front an rear and shoul be a blast

Not that I'll change from Roadtec 01's, I did read a Michelin article the other day that claimed a half worn PR5 will outperform  a brand new PR4, such was their confidence in the latest model.

I wouldn't trust that. I think you can feel on your own, when a tyre is worn out, at least I do

For the majority of riders i don`t think there is any need to buy the most expensive tyre on the market
Unless you ride like VR or the likes you`ll never get to the limit of a mid range tyre (i`m not talk ching chang shite tho)
so buy what your pocket can afford and ride to your own limits not beyond and you`ll be fine
