Wanted: Front fairing & generator cover for FZS 1000 (Gen 1)
#1
Hello everybody,
I haven't come to see you here on the forum for a long time. Is everything okay? I hope so.
Guys, I have a drama in progress, my beautiful 2005 FZS1000 LavaRed has slipped and, as usual in these cases, the windshield has broken, I'm talking about the fairing not the plexiglass.  >:
I am looking for the original spare part, do anyone has a shop to report to me (I would like to buy the new original spare part) ?
I am also looking for the alternator side casing (the color of the engine is black). Can you help me ?
Thank you in advance

Ok afaik and I confirmed this by looking on fowerlersparts.co.uk (see below) Yamaha never released an FZS1000 in LavaRed, only the FZ1 came in this colour (I have one, a 2007 FZ1). In 2005 the FZS came in " Deep Red Metalic Cocktail " (DRMC).

How bad is the damage, can you posts some pictures..? as it might be repairable/repaint-able.

For the front fairing and the alternator cover your best bet is eBay, but these parts are getting very hard to find. But I did a search on eBay and it seems a company in France is doing a pattern version of the generator cover, wich is good news for FZS1000 owners -

I should add that my link was mainly for the Fowler’s parts webpage, rather than looking for your specific part / colour for you. ?

Thank you all, Fowler parts does indeed have many useful parts for sale (e.g. the original button head bolts), however the windshield is not available ...  Sad
For those who asked me here are the photos of the damage, however, the most serious fracture is not clearly visible.

Thank you man, I already ordered everything needed to heal my FZS from the central spare part dealer in the Netherland, no painting needed and so on. Cheaper than I expected.  :thumbup
