Hi all just done the stage 1 kit, carbs balanced all good but the revs are slow to return to idle. Any ideas? I read on tinterweb that this could be due to an air leak. Haven't checked yet....your thoughts please peeps.

Welcome to the forum  Smile

Would you be more specific are the revs stay in idle or fluctuate?

To answer your question, the revs are stable.
I went thru my installation and cant find any issues. It could be that what I am seeing is normal and Im just looking for trouble having done the mod Smile
I cut the carb spring length by 3 coils (0.5") as per instructions. On review I see that Ivan recommends removing 3/4" and somewhere else recommends 1/4." So im in the middle so either everyone has the same thing and Im looking for trouble or, its all normal and I just need to shut up and ride the bike (prob the latter).
What I have noted is that if you follow the guidelines and set the idle to 1250 (above stock recommendation) this is having a significant negative effect on the return-to-idle speed. So I have settled for 1100rpm idle and the return speed is "acceptable."  I haven't been for a blast yet (cant wait) but otherwise throttle response is very clean.
By the way with engine off the throttle snaps cleanly shut - certain cable adjustment is OK and the choke also seems fine.
If the bike runs well after Ive bin fer a spin, we can forget the conversation Smile)
