New biker in South Wales

Hello all!

I am a new biker, having passed my Mod 2 first time on Monday. I am currently commuting on a 2013 Lexmoto Street 125. I was planning to keep this for a while as I liked it and in no rush to upgrade. But! I am going to look at a 1999 fazer 600 with 30k on it tomorrow.

I will be taking the wealth of knowledge on the forum and if I happen to buy this bike I will try and add to the forum.

I'll now go and search for what things to check / look out for on this 1999 fazer.

Welcome Gibzy...youve come to the right place........surprisingly we dont see too many fzs600 for sake on here...,they are that good....im down in Pembrokeshire.......oh & i dont own a fazer any more but this place is still worth sticking around for....far more helpful than the other forums. 8)

Nice to see a couple of Taffs on here. Cwmbran aint too far away, I am near Caerphilly. I was up at Thunderroad a few weeks back picking up my helmet.

be warned there is a dodgey fazer 600 fzs, going around here, last seen in thornhill Cardiff, it was sold on dragon bikers a while back.    the pics are still on there, the number plate has changed and coulour,  it was a 99 in black.

Oh! anymore details? the one I am looking at is a 1999 red and black one in Aberdare...

have a look at dragon bikers you don't have to join,  go to the for sale section there was a fazer on there, read all the posts about it, and pics,  it is now black and red.  the reg plate was w533 bvw, but has changed, and so has the mileage,.    all I can say is have a good look at the pics    for something they wouldn't have changed,,,,    probabily nothing  but it only takes two mins to look.    good luck.

Cheers for the heads up. I noticed that one the other day and put it to one side as a possibility.  The one I am looking at the current owner states they have owned it for 3 years so should be ok.

Can't remember the reg of it now sorry. I was outbid at the last second, gutted as I went to look at the bike and it was lovely, exactly what I wanted and sounded nice, started first time...

Looks like i'll be sticking with the little Lexmoto 125 for a while then...
