Removing a Meta M357T-V2

Just spent 5 mins (not!) removing my faulty (dead battery) Meta M357T-V2 alarm.  I made a short video for FOC so I hope someone here will find it helpful sometime.

Nice one. My mates alarm battery died. Apparently they usually only last 10 - 12 years   He contacted meta and the only solution is to remove or buy a new one and plug it in. :\

I had to disable a meta alarm, the faulty plug in part i simply cut the back off, bridged 2 pairs of pins with solder after bending them together as close as possible. Plug in and encase it all in tape, still leaves the option of fitting another unit.

Mine died like this a couple of years ago. Went really, really quiet, could barely hear it beep or even notice the siren if you triggered it. The chaps at Abacus alarms were really useful for info, and like others, just picked up a new control box and swapped it in, half hour job tops, and cost me £120 ish. Living in a shitty part of London, I figured it was best to have all the security I can, so didn't fancy just disabling/removing it.
