Newbie Low Sider Crash

Afternoon All,

Just returned from a fantastic 6 days in the Scottish Highlands, enjoying my new toy However, a small lane with some gravel caught me out and I dropped the bike at 5mph
Damage to front cowling, FR indicator, clutch crankcase cover, front brake lever, rear brake pedal, FR bar-end and exhaust! Dammit!

I know I can look through eBay for all of these parts, but can anyone recommend a website which offers all genuine parts? I'm struggling to find one. One shop do all?
Any advice much appreciated.....

Having said that always double check your part number with oficial Yamaha catalog here

Fowlers part catalog sometimes gives dodgy part numbers.

Aj sitting site now give a picture of the parts label which is useful, but no good for painted stuff.

i know the feeling mate, i had been out on mine for the 3rd weekend since i had it, really nice ride, got caught out on a line cobbles turning up a hill 30 meters from home...

I dropped it or should i say watched it slide down the road on its left side - whilst i lay on the road watching it  :eek

bent the gear shift, and scratched the clutch casing, snapped LF indicator...little cowling damage...

luckily i could still change gear even with the bend shift lever....

I ended up searching ebay as OEM stock was far too much....

I have two cowls levers poss bar end
One cowl is ready for paint one needs minor repair

Thanks VAL, I'll take a look at that website. Just need to decide whether to just put it all through the insurance, or try and do it myself

Can't believe that the RHS clutch case cover is £150!!!!!!! Guess they know this is the first thing to get damaged, hence the price!  >: >: >:

There will plenty of mint/VGC standard cans on here for £30-50, people have-em sitting in their sheds coz no one wants-em.

On the indicator front I have a full set of indicators, they came of an American fzs100 so are slightly larger than normal.

And if the damage to the fairing is just those scuff you could just get it repainted.

While your checking things -

• check the r/h infill panel for cracks etc.
  
• the headlamp for any cracked snapped mounts.
  
• the front-subframe for tweaks and such.

PJ, as Bik3rdude said, I've got a standard exhaust in my garage that is just sitting there, I'm sure we could come to an agreement on price, I'm just up the road from you in Wickford so saves on postage if you want to collect it.


I also have a good condition scorpion can and link pipe if that suits

Thanks to all that have replied. I have now been able to source the following:


Rear brake lever, front brake lever, front indicator & exhaust....


Many thanks for you kind offers and advice. Just need to fix the clutch case cover and the expensive bit, the front fairing/cowling :-(
