No, there won't be. Unfazed is right, the letter after 070 (or whatever) refers to the colour.

Yep, C denotes the colour. Give that code (the full code) to any Yamaha dealer and they can tell you what it should be, e.g. VRC1 etc. Probably can get it online these days?

Your welcome macca, keep us posted of how your getting on and maybe you could post pics as you go along, also keep an eye on the for sale section as it'll probably be cheaper than going to fleebay and the likes.

That fairing doesn't look too bad... Deefer66 is a professional plastic welder - bung him a PM, might be cheaper having him fix it good as new!  :thumbup

No you didn't, you said there wasn't a red in 98.
And there was - I ordered one, till I realised the truth, and changed the order to the faster black one.

Some owners will believe everything the salesman tells them, he just told you the black one was faster just to get rid of it  :rollin :rollin :rollin

As long as he has the missing plastic bits, if not repair is far from easy.

Deefer's a pro.  Wink

But yes, missing bits helps. Deefer has repaired fairings brought to him in several shopping bags!

Most of the '98's i see are red, unfortunately they were quicker on the production line than they are on the road.  :lol
