Sentences to run consecutively. So not six years as reported, but four. Take half off for good behaviour.

Disgusting.

No, it is 6 years, 2 plus 4, one after the other.  Had it been 2 and 4 to run concurrently, it would only be 4.  Still about 20 years too little though.

was given a two-year sentence for causing death by careless driving and four years for perverting the course of justice, with the sentences to run consecutively.

Just shows that the "courts" think they are more important than the life of a young girl!!
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"

Sorry. I got my consecutive and my concurrent mixed up.

Still a disgrace though.

But it wasn't six years for a life, it was two years for the life and four for Perverting the Course of Justice which is even more ridiculous!

He had already disobeyed the courts by driving when disqualifed.  I thought the original sentance was far to lenient, hopefully it will be increased.
