speedo pickup and lead
#1
a while ago I bought a really good nick 2nd hand speedo pickup unit for the Fazer, I went to fit it today to find the lead is 4 nches too short although the same plug, and the through hole is a few mm smaller in diameter. Bugger. I wonder what the heck bike this is for?

I'd suggest a T-cat, but the front end is entirely different there. Could it be an FZ6 thing?

Fz6 is entirely different. This has a smaller spindle whatever it is. The unit and plug is identical toours, even the sintered spinny bit is the same. I will extend the wires and bore the unit to fit eventually

According to a current ebay listing, our electronic speedos appear to be shared with 1999-01 TDM850 & 1998-99 XJR1300

Then again if the spindle dimensions are different it may be off something like a 400cc Japanese import model instead

yes, the part number search confirms that. They have changed the construction of the rotor too and it is avalable seoarately for those that have broken theirs
