OK OK, it's gotta go - CHEAP FZS600 for sale
#1
Yep, my trusty old FZS600 is currently gathering dust in my garage and any grand plans of keeping it as a track bike or some sort of project bike are just not going to happen and I need the space so i'm flogging it cheap.

The details: -

1999 FZS600 in black
74k
Taxed until April 2014
Needs an MOT - Allowed it to expire as I now commute on a SV650 instead. I got lazy basically.

Good bits

Bombproof engine
Gearbox perfect
Brakes still sharp
Heated grips
fuel can
Motad exhaust system
Scottoiler

Bad bits

badly pitted forks
3 out of 8 exhaust studs snapped
Numerous marks and scuffs
Tatty engine paint, badly flaking
rear suspension shagged

The bike has been used as a winter commuter but has been loved and looked after where it needed to be. I don't have time or space to do anything with it anymore so it's got to go. It starts on the button and still has a strong heart, could be used as a winter hack for many years to come.

£495 ono - do your worst  Sad

No sorry, £300 is too low and it's worth more than that. It's a working bike, I just stopped riding it.

The only thing stopping me from going for this is the problem of where to keep it - but have been known to worry about these things after the deed is done!

It is ridiculous, i've had so many people after the bike. I expect it to be gone this evening. Definately could have got about £650+ I reckon.

Still, it's a steal of a bargain but it's served it's purpose and does mean i'll have the space and be £450 richer. That'll cover new tyres and C&S that I need for my SV650 and may even have some beer money left.

I know, I know. In reality, the SV has 13k miles, is 7 years newer and has a lot more life left in it. It's not as much fun or as good a bike but it's only my commuter and I had a bargain on that too.

I'm doing a track day tomorrow on my FZ1 so i've still got 1 Fazer to make me smile Smile
