Hello All
#1
Hello every one,
Thought I'd introduce myself seeing as I've just registered.  I'm from the far north of Scotland, am up for my Mod 1 test this morning.  I have a 61 plate Lifan Apollo 125 (my learner) and also have just purchased a Y reg Yamaha Fazer 600 with 18,000 miles on the clock off the back of a great recommendation from my instructor.  I'm itching to get through my tests and get on the open road with my Fazer!  So far on my Lifan which I have had for about 2 months I've changed a snapped speedo cable, replaced a burst headlight bulb, changed a burst tyre and now have contact issued with the ignition barrel...... so far on the Fazer I have drooled on it.
This bike carry on is very addictive isn't it!
II look forward to getting the banter with you guys on here and already have a question for you all..... Has anyone fitted a belly pan to a Mk1 fazer and if so, are there any pictures on here?

Cheers,

Ryan.

Welcome to the forums Ryan and best of luck for your mod 1! You'll love the fazer when u get going on it, an excellent first big bike. Get some pics up on here so the guys can argue about which colour is the fastest.  ;-)

Hi Ryan and welcome.
I was in a similar position many years ago before I passed my test, had a Kawasaki 750 Turbo in the garage to look forward to. Very frustrating, but very motivating! I'm actually in a similar position now too, as I'm off sick with a lousy viral infection and not fit to ride in this summer weather  :'( I keep going to the garage and looking longingly at the bike, it's not helping any!
Good luck on your tests, and enjoy the site.

Lol, just the same as car owners forums then - arguing over what is the fastest etc.  Here are a couple of pics for you all, I would like to point out that Ferrari's are red and red is the fastest.

Also, if you are in the North of Scotland and need a plumber I can lend a hand.  That is my plumbing van behind the bike.  Big Grin

So if yours is only half red it must be really sloooow. Oh yes and welcome to the forum.

I just assumed it was so fast that the bottom half of the red had peeled off at high speed.  :lol

Cheers all, I'm delighted i'm one step closer to getting loose on the Fazer now!  I went to book my mod 2 and the first date was bloody 10th October!?!?  :rolleyes  I should have booked them both on the same day, didn't have the balls to do that though. :'(

I doubt it, that is very rare up here. I'll be checking though just in case.
