Has anyone got a silver bike with yellow rim strips? I'm thinking it would go well together. Any pictures??? Photoshop???

I've got them on a blue bike. Posted a picture of my bike on one of my threads a few weeks ago.

Can't see it personally, I'd have thought either blue or silver rim tape to go with a silver bike!
Some say...

Yellow and silver is an old school Yamaha combo isnt it?
Wasn't there a famous race bike in those colours or was it yellow and black?

The fact that if you do a search for a silver bike with yellow rims/wheels and hardly anything comes up speaks volumes in itself.
I wouldn't say it's the greatest colour combination to be truthful.

[smg id=1000 type=preview align=center caption="blue"] [smg id=1001 type=preview align=center caption="yellow"] my super duper paint skills, i like the yellow and also the red, the blue doesnt do it for me. What do you guys thinks? obviously it would be a little thicker in real life.

What about white?
An alternative is do what i do and paint the letters on the tyres in the colour of your choice!
You do need a decent paint pen, a bit of patience and a steady hand though, but the results are good when the bike's all cleaned up as well. ![]()

I have done the same thing as Darrsi recently, have always wanted to do it but couldn't find a tyre with white writing. Then realised you do it yourself with a £2 pen. Looks really cool in my opinion, I personally think rim tape can look really tacky and awful on some bikes if it's not done properly.

Getting a decent paint pen is the main thing, i bought a couple a while ago and the tips on both were absolutely useless, but fortunately i was able to put the old tip onto the new pen and then it worked okay.

had yellow tape on my black bike for a while
looked awful! [smg id=1008 type=preview align=center caption="yellow rim tape"] then decided white was much better ![]() [smg id=1009 type=preview align=center caption="white rim tape"]

I particularly like badly applied tape that makes wheels look like 50p pieces! :lol

No one going to mention black rim tape then :rollin
