Do you wear work trousers (in my case suit trousers, not jeans) under your textile trousers?
If so, did you buy a size up to allow for them or were your normal size big enough?
And does anybody know if Spada kit is any good?
Cheers,
Andy
Hey,
I've got a pair of spada textile trousers. If I was going to wear trousers underneath I'd need a size up from what I have. They are very good, no leaks, bone dry even in torrential rain, good fit, comfortable, good protection etc. but get ones that have a removable liner, this may also mean you wouldn't need a bigger than normal size to wear trousers underneath.
Mine don't have a removable liner so can be hot, to say the least, on a warm day. Think of two fish and a banana in a fish bowl full of water and you'll get what I mean... :lol

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
I bought a pair of aerostitch AD1 pants from USA for the very same reason, I wear work trousers under them. These ones have full length leg zips that you can simply remove the pants in about 15 seconds.
Fully armoured, gore tex, reflective things and pockets all over. Near perfect, but not cheap. Should get a good few years out if them too.
Well worth a look if you ride to work in all weathers.

Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
I wear standard trousers under some spada textiles, I am size 34" waist and have size large spada textiles which are fine but a tad tight in places, especially around the knee and lower leg area, although this area is elasticated so may be designed to be close fitting, mine have an adjustable waistband and are fine around the waist, they have been very good trousers overall. hope this helps

I got myself a pair of dry-vis over trousers. Excellent waterproofing and still got knee armour. Im 36 waist bought size 36. And they fit perfectly both qith my suit trousers or jeans.
Only prob is they are too warm in summer but then I ride in monday with my work trousers on but then each night for the week leave my trousers at work n ride home with just the over trousers which are still comfortable and still a good fit
Many thanks for all of the replies. I've seen in a couple of places that Spada are on the small side, I'm a 32 so will go for a 34.
Cheers,
Andy
I got a size up as they fitted better with the winter liners in, but can only wear trousers/jeans with the liners removed. And they can get too hot as well. So I got a pair of heavy denims with Kevlar and knee/thigh pads. Much more comfortable in this warming weather, especially if you stop for long periods, your legs dont sweat so much. And keep some waterproof trousers under the seat just in case I get caught in a shower.
