Mine has 2 different tyres. Bridgestone on back and continental on front. Never had a problem, bike handles perfectly

Yep, +1 on mixing tyres. An 021 and an 023 are a pretty good mix tbh. The front 021 was awful!

WHAT?... YOU'LL HAVE TO SHOUT LOUDER, 'COS WE'RE CLEARLY ALL FOCCING DEAF.
I can put three hundred letters in here? Really?  I can dump this much crap at the bottom of each and every post and reply that I do, and there not a stinking thing  you can do about it.  I can also put in a picture you say?  My my, aren’t we generous with the space all of a sudden.  This won’t last

What was wrong with the front tyre? My 021 are pretty new yet, and I am happy with them by now. Is there something I'd have to know?

I fitted 021's toy R1 streetfighter, and the front tyre went 'off' pretty quickly creating a very uncomfortable characteristic on roundabouts and sharp rights where the front ran wide, and even slid out on me twice in hot weather! 020's never did that, and 023's are supposed to be very good. But I did give that bike a hard time :Smile

Well 021's are Sports Tourers so if you are giving them some stick maybe it was getting close to there limits? The 020's are Sports tyres right? So better grip etc Smile

Nope, 020 was the predecessor of the 021 and was a solid predictable tyre that I'd used for years, the 021 was not in production for long before it was superseeded by the 023. Probably due to a lot of complaints and the very odd wear issue on the front.
Most ST tyres are good enough for British roads and superbikes, imhe sports tyres are really a bit of a con.

The 023 will be a good choice for the front, and work fine in combination with your 021 on the back.

I did the same except the other way around.

I'm on course to get 12k out of the rear.

Its squared off but that was always going to happen with lots of winter motorway miles.

It'll be replaced during spring ready for summer's more fun riding style.

Overall I've been pleased with the 023's.

I found that the 021 wore really badly and after a few thousand the profile changed quite dramatically. 023's overcame this with, in my opinion a fantastic tyre which I will be getting again?
