Anyone had issues with Fazer 8 battery?
I bought the bike from new in November - had a Road Angel tracker fitted.
Battery dies after 1 week of not using... Is this common on the bike / with the Road Angel?

You'll get problems if you have anything wired to the battery/power source if you don't have an optimate or the likes.

Hi and welcome to the forums - I would speak with Road Angel and then whoever fitted the unit for you as I can't believe that this would be considered acceptable. You could also take your bike to an independent vehicle battery specialist as they will be able to check the batteries performance and confirm it's not the battery that is the issue.
/Edit: Although I understand where sinto is coming from I'm not a fan of optimates etc as from personal experience and from doing some research I believe that they can actually reduce battery life expectancy but maybe as he suggests this is a trade-off if you have equipment on the bike constantly drawing power.

I've never experienced any issues with optimates or the likes, only time I've had issues with batteries is when I've got a 2nd bike, my :faz from a friend, who never used one and the battery was goosed so had to get a new one. All other bikes 8ve had were brand new or from a dealers. Although Mr Pie, I have heard of some other people that have had bad experiences much like your saying but don't know if that was down to the charging 7nit or the rubbish batteries they were using :rolleyes

Thanks for the views guys.
I think I will take it to an independent place to have the battery / tracker / wiring checked out, just in case.
Any ideas why the battery is even smaller than in my old Fazer 6? Is this normal?
