Cooling fan.

Just a quick question,when I first start my bike from cold after about 10 to 15 seconds the fan comes on and stays on till I put it into 1st gear then it goes off?
Is this normal or is the thermostat fooked?

Perfectly normal, they all do that

The fan shouldn't come on straight away, it should start up after a minute or so. According to Yamaha this is to prevent the fan blades from distorting from the heat coming from the downpipes.

Thanks to all who replied I thought my Fzs had a problem  :rolleyes
