Bloody British weather...!
#1
On Friday the 3rd I went down to North Devon for my annual surfing and biking holiday and because of the conditions I wore the wet weather textile gear.

So yesterday (having had to come home even though the weather was improving) I damn near got heat-stroke on the return journey because I couldn't get enough cooling! Sad

You just can't win sometimes...

Fit under the seat of an FZ6, next to the pipes... melted...!!  :eek

Seriously, had I known the weather would warm up that much I'd have gone with the Air Jacket and over-jacket, but the forecast simply didn't suggest a mini-heatwave.

Doing bloody well to get anything under the seat of an FZ6 - there ain't a right lot of space there.....

As for weather, I had the same in May going up to Scotland - bright sunshine as far as Edinburgh, then rain up to a bit past Perth, and snow for a long way between Perth - Inverness, before turning to rain again.
I hadn't planned for it either, and it wasn't mentioned on the weather forecast either.

True, between the toolkit and the alarm that's under there, there's virtually bugger all room to fit anything else.

Can't help wondering where you'd put the surfboard, let alone the waterproofs!

If I had a quid for every time someone asked me that it would have covered the hire cost several times over!!!

(Although I did see someone coming back from the beach on a scooter, still wearing their wetsuit and sitting on their short board on top of the seat...!  :eek )

I've just bought a decent set of waterproof over-trousers from Hein Gericke for £22.50 in their closing down sale and manged to fit them in the Kriega R3 bum bag which I keep the over-jacket for the air jacket in, so next time I should be ok Smile

Get a real, propper bikle. Like a FZS. You know, the one with the falus sybol clearly visible on the right side!
Most things done in a hurry need to be done again - patiently.
