Bike camera

Anyone suggest a HD bullet camera for the bike?
I would prefer just a lens that hooks into a camcorder but it looks like they only do standalone self recording bullet cams.


The VholdR ContourHD 1080P looks ok but a bit expensive and I've seen some off-putting reviews on you-tube.


I'm looking more for quality than price.

I bought that camera from that company one month ago. The quality is good enough for the bike. And their service are good. 

The price is suitable for that camera. I think. Cheers

I use a Drift HD at the moment, it's pretty good as far as i'm concerned, not a bullet camera but pretty small, half the size of a GoPro although outright the GoPro does have a better look to it.

Here's a link to some early footage, ignore the audio as the mic is crap and have yet to get an external one. Overall I'm happy with it as the price was less than £200 delivered from Amazon.

Ebay no 280927438999 I brought the mini SD camera and that has been brilliant- about the size of half a matchbox and easily mounted on the hadlebars behind a clear screen- good enough video and good sound behind the screen with no wind noise

Its not waterproof and the little LED's are difficult to see but after a while you get used to the buttons Lasted about an hour or so on the internal battery until that dies (if you forget to keep it charged) but its only £15 for another one.

Just brought a second hand Oregon bullet camera- have to say its the size of a small artillery shell rather than a bullet- not figured out where to mount it yet

Steve H- how did you mount the camera on your helmet? The oregon strap is too short for a full fave helmet

Steve H- how did you mount the camera on your helmet? The oregon strap is too short for a full fave helmet

The kit includes 2 helmet mounts, 1 is for a flat surface, the other for a curved surface, I used the curved one and it fits nicely beside the visor. It is only held on by double sided foam but blimey it dont half stick! The camera has a screw in mount which is adjustable for a better angle and simply clips into place, you can even do it with the helmet and gloves on.

Forgot to add that the front lens also turns through 180 degrees so if you mount it flat/side on or on the piss (as it will be with a helmet) you can adjust to keep the image straight.

Thanks for posting that, it looks very good. Hopefully the prices will drop a bit in the future, if so I may well get one
