M.O.T Questionn :)
#1
Anyone know if my fazer needs sidelights to pass mot ??  Don't think they've ever worked since i've had the bike and this is the first mot i'm giving her.. I have working headlights ( low & High beam ) And there's obviosly no parking lights involved so in my opinion I don't see why I should need them but obviously I don't have a clue :/

Any Ideas ??

if its an early one (twin square lights ) it does have a side light in the bottom of one of the lights, easy to change if the bulbs gone, not to sure if its a later model  Smile
One, is never going to be enough.....

from the mot testers manual "A motor bicycle (with or without a side car) fitted with a headlamp need not have a front position lamp (but must have one on the side car, if a side car is fitted)."

however I'm pretty certain that any light that is fitted, must work... so if its a square eye, then it'll need fixing - as red says tho, I dunno either about the foxeyes...

The foxeye has a pilot light in each one. i.e. 2 pilot lights.

this is from the latest mot manual http://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_110.htm the only fail if the bulb that is working is the wrong colour, not if it is not working or not

Sorry guys I forgot to mention ( Stupid me ! ) That mine has had a subtle streetfight... So I have the twin headlights on it.. But judging by the comments on this it does appear that hopefully it'll get through when there're not working.. Cheers Smile

From past arguments with MOTers the basic rule is "if its there its got to be working!"
