Rigemere, I'm with Falcon on this one. Stay in Spain. I tour Spain almost every year and only ever did the trip back through France once. I wouldn't do it again. Get off the boat, don't bother booking hotels as you will find lots of cheap, clean acommodation as you go and you are then also free to go wherever you want. The N623 between Santander and Burgos is must - then go play in the Pyrenees. You'll love it.
