Stupid question but,,,

Is the air filter the same in the Mk1 Fazer and the Mk2 Foxeye?

In the book of words all it says is the filter is a Dry Element type.

Just before I buy this one,,,,

I think a lot of '97 to '03 components are the same, and i'd say yes judging by this:

That's what I thought. If they last longer, make the bike run better, are cheaper to buy, whats the risk!

Yes they are the same. Go for the  K&N you will never need to buy another air filter again. They have a million mile warranty and one cleaning kit cleans and oils the filter about 5 or 6 times so they are cheaper in the long run. The engine breathes better too. Hope this helps.

Not a bad idea really, I got a hi flo for £11 in the end so it'll depend on my long term plans with the bike whether I get a K&N next time.

Still, it's 10 years young and going like a train!
