How is the headlight delay circuit implemented on the thou? I have a bandit 600 s that I'm using for winter and I want to install a HID kit but as you know HID kits dont like being on when your trying to start the bike as it turns off and shortens the life opf the burner/ballast.
ta.
Turning the headlights on after you've started the engine would seem the obvious solution.. or am I missing something?
just done this on my 03.
sourced an 01 switchgear, built a small bit of loom, cut into the relay feed (behind the screen on the fazer) and now i'm related to robert.
The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money!
Yup 04 gen 1 and no switch for headlight on/off
I aint much help as i have no idea how it dose it, but it is side lights while ignition is on and the headlights come on once the engine is turning over. its why if the battery isnt great it wont crank over because as it starts turning it over ( about its heavyest draw on battery i would think) it turns on the headlight lol just to ask even more of the battery.
but sorry im no help as to where the gubbins that dose that is located sorry. i allways just assumed it took it from the gen rather than the bat circuit
The headlight on is controled by the engine ecu.It earths one of the relays behind the screen when the engine starts.Hope this helps.
