iPad software, DVD rippers and Mp4 downloads.

I got myself an ipad for christmas and am not looking to make the most of it. Being a tight git though, I dont like paying for software etc if I can avoid it. so some questions for you knowledgeable bunch of foccers.

Can anyone recommend some good (useful) free apps to download?
Does anyone know of a good free DVD ripper?
Does anyone know of a reliable place to download MP4 movies for free?

Can't help with iPad apps or where to download movies from either, but to rip DVD (and BluRay) discs to your computer, you need DVDFab HD Decrypter.  It will rip to hard drive and will also remove the copy protection.

i think it should also be pointed out that we do not endorse anyone downloading things for free that should be paid for Mr Brown (no smacked wrist icon)  a lot of companies are now taking a very dim view of posts explaining where people can obtain things for free, and i believe sites like piratebay and isohunt are being affected
