Fuel pump issues?
#1
Hi everyone I’ve had intermittent issues with my fueling system which was caused by gunk built up in the filter and then a pump that was fitted by a previous owner. After last weeks rain my bike was running very poorly if at all and would need a lot of choke to start and would stall if I even thought about taking it off. I went through the whole ignition system trimming back the ht leads and putting some dielectric grease around the plug caps and some general checks but everything seemed okay. The bikes running mostly fine now but feels lumpy pulling sometimes in higher speeds and there’s a few things I have planned for maintenance but I was just wondering if you should be able to hear the fuel pump prime a lot every time you turn the bike on. Sometimes if the bikes been primed recently it will click maybe once or twice which makes sense as it holds the pressure but occasionally and more recently no matter how many times I turn the bike on and off it doesn’t stay primed and each time it clicks fast for maybe 5-6 seconds and then suddenly stops.
Any information is appreciated thanks

lift the tank and see if there is fuel in the filter. Sounds like you are not getting fuel through. Could be its turned off or the breather pipes are kinked/blocked causing a vacuum in the tank
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
