Low mileags but sad FZS1000

So this popped on autotrader -

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-detail...dal=photos

For the mileage/price I thought it must be mint, but no just another trader taking the piss -
  • The rear grab handles are missing.
  • The wheels are dirty and have dings, marks and scratches.
  • All front & rear left foot pegs, swing arm, link pipe (which is rusty) and fairing infill's have all been stained by some cleaner.
  • The handlebars are damaged, bars ends aren't stock and the brake lever has a worn end.
  • The headlight bulbs have tinted bulbs that will fail an mot.
  • The rear wheel looks like it has a rub mark from the rear brake house? or is that a reflection.
  • The wind screen has a big scratches right across it.
  • The drive chain looks like its rusty? and the rear axel nut has damage/corrosion.
  • It has clearly its been dropped on the right hand side, the dent in the tank, the front fairing has been repainted (decals are missing). That also means the sub-frame, the right hand infill, the headlight mount points may have been tweaked/broken. And worse the bike could be a Cat-D.

Something very dodgy about that bike.
Only 2 MOTs on the .gov MOT history site. One in 2018 when it had done 2781 mile and one in 2019 when it had done 5259. I cannot believe someone sat on the bike and didnt use it for 17 years.
I suspect an import with new clocks fitted due to MPH speedo
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Didn't think to check the reg detail nor the history of the trader (just assumed he was another arse-hole), I had already reported it to Autotrader as potential insurance fraud/Cat-D.

It's up on ebay for £5,000 too!
Please tell me they aren't the original ME4 tyres still on it... could be getting your knees and body down on your first ride home.Is it a 'bitsa' - bits of a minter mixed with a dog?

So just for the hell of it I called the shop as they are local to me, in short I didn't give me the impression they know what they are doing. One of the responses I got was "its the boss's bike and he doesn't want to sell it, someone offered him 5k and he said no". I then pointed out ALL the issues with the bike and the fact that (and they confirmed) its has a 10yr old tyre on the front wheel...!!! He then asked me how much I thought it was worth, I said if they fixed all the issues with the bike and the "mileage is genuine" the most they could ask for it is 3k.

I asked why the first MOT was sep 2018, with nothing going back to 2001? no reply. I then asked if the bike is an import, suggesting that the clocks have been swapped, again no answer.

Yamaha Uk confirmed it not coming up as a UK bike, but this could be something as innocent as the bike details being entered in wrong all this time...
