New owner
#1
Good Morning Guys and Gals,

As of last night I find myself to be the owner of a fairly tidy T Reg FZS600.

Poor girl is going to be my winter/commuting/IAM Training bike.

Anything you guys can suggest to beat the cold and any common mods and additions that might be worth looking into? It already has a headlight mod and stainless headers.

Cheers,

3C

Welcome to the  :faz mad house.

*Heated grips are a good start, I don't have them myself but I know lots of people that have and they all say they're brilliant.
*Thermal riding gear (bit of an obvious one but thought I'd still mention it any way  :lol )

There are probably lots of other things, but off the top of my head thats all I can think of.

Any chance of some piccies of you new winter toy as  :useless :lol
RIP my beautiful red beast 1999 to 2017 ???

Sorry it's been a while for the reply. Here's the old girl. Asked Santa for a couple of things for Christmas to help on the commute.

Being an all weather rider, the following are essential

Touring screen (bigger the better)
heated grips
Handlebar Muffs
ACF
A Regular hose down after a ride (keep your hose accessible ready to give it a spray)
Top Box
Scottoiler
Ex police clothing (debadged) its the best cheapest gear you'll get off ebay - most are goretex chuck them over your existing riding stuff.
white flip helmet with pin lock
a decent neck tube (try fishing brands) as they tend to extend over your chest to protect from cold.
and if you can afford it some cree spotlights
ADDITION ! Hugger and front fender extender if ones not already fitted - Pyramid do both £15 for fend and about £90 for hugger
