Gearbox whine
#1
My 2000 FZS600 has done 56k. I replaced chain & sprockets recently (DID Gold) and have noticed increased whine from the gearbox.
Chain is adjusted & well lubed.
Noise seems worst worst when just tipping along (maybe I just can't hear it when I'm cracking on).
Any ideas on how to cure this? Or should I just ignore it?
Other than this, bike is bulletproof.
Thanks in advance for your input

All Fazer gearboxes whine a bit. Would have to listen to it to see if it's too awful or not. Where are you based? There may a Foccer who an have a listen for you, and give you some comments.

New DID chain will rub against the chain guide for a while until it cuts a new path in the plastic, make sure the chain is well lubed and the noise will calm down after a month or so.
It will sound even louder if it's your first DID chain, i know mine did.
