2000 fzs600 fox eye fairing compatability
#1
Hi guys I had somebody knock my fazer over and not stop so I'm stuck with the bill.
my front fairing is totalled but after looking for a replacement I've managed to only find a few but they are also damaged.
I was wondering if I was to swap the the square light fairing out for the later fox eye how much am I going to have to modify the front end? Sub frame?
any help would be great
thanks

Can be done but it's certainly not cheap or that straight forward, if it was then we'd all be doing it just for more brighter lights!

As darrsi says. The link above tells it all but is quite lengthy so to summerize :-
The expensive parts will be fairing, headlight unit, fairing mounting sub-frame. This will be the hardest and most painful part on the purse!
Making a few small steel brackets. I.e. Cutting, drilling and bending 1.5 to 2 mm steel strip.
Some basic but careful new wiring with a couple of relays.
If you are handy with that sort of thing it's not difficult and quite satisfying, also you end up with much better lights.
As always just ask on here if you need more info.
