2001 battery

Hi guys.
Did a search and it seems the battery on my 600 is the wrong type? Can someone just confirm before i buy a new one

Yes, bike been sat for a while and after a charge struggles to start the bike...

I got a 2001 model ,600 and bought a battery last year, I think the numbers where yb something, anyway I bought a mottobatt battery far better find them online they will tell you which one you need, 50 quid I paid.

i have the same bike as you,my battery is CT12B-4, i have no drain on it (alarm/imobiliser/heated bar grips etc ) and its sat outside on the bike for weeks and starts first time,every time. my only starting issue was a dodgy imobiliser so ive had that cut out of the system.
its currently indoors off the bike  over the winter,which is why i can reply to your question !!

The GS GT12B-4 is the original fitment battery for the 600.I thought were a good battery.Mine lasted 9 years.The Yuasa replacement is YT12B-BS.
