After going through 3 brake switches (2 aftermarket, 1 genuine) in 18 months I decided to fix my latest after it stopped working yesterday. The problems I've had are all because of the soft plastic used in the activator peg that's pushed in and out by the lever, it always flattens out and eventually stops working. I took a small nail, filed off the edges with my dremel, cut it to size and the switch is now working perfectly again. I know people will say "oh just buy another one, it's only a tenner" but with my metal peg replacement it should last forever.
