Hi,
Trying to change the fork oil quickly without removing them from the bike...
no oil leaks from seals
This is my thoughts..
Do one fork at a time
wind out pre load all the way
undo top yoke clamp
undo top bolt
raise front so front suspension fully extended and front wheel of ground
remove top bolt
Use:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional-H...3a7cb278f3
with one of these attached to the end via short hose:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Stainless-S...3a90a47b2b
remove the spacers and washers and spring
use the above tool to suck out the oil.
The outside diameter is 3mm is this enough to get past the top of the damper rod and remove all the old oil
I would refill with 465cc the required capacity for MY03.
Then refit all internals and then refit top bolt and torque to 23N then torque top yoke to 30N
Question will the top bolt go on with the fork fitted in the yoke how much would you need to compress the spring.
Remember the fork is fully extended with front wheel off the ground.
Repeat on the other fork.
any comments...
