Had my shark helmet for sometime and decided I need a new helmet looked on the sharp test sight and saw that a number of caberg helmets have 5 star rating and together with the various features they offer compared with other helmets are incredible cheap. The two models that took my fancy are the V2RR and the VOX. So does anyone use one of these models and what do you think of it. Should say I'll be using it on Triumph Sprint so I do have a certain amount of wind protection from the screen where as on my Fazer 600 wind noise and buffeting was more of an issue. Ofcourse I'm open to any other helmet make/model suggestions.
I'm going to the motorcycle show at exel this Friday where I hope I'll get the right helmet at a good price.
So comments and suggestions please
I've just got a nexx XR2 carbon through last night actually. Full carbon fibre, and fully ECE and DOT approved. Has the biggest aperture of any helmet I've ever had. I'll need to test it for a few weeks before I can definitively say just how good or bad it is though (oh, and its £299.)
Plus one for the wind noise. I have a caberg justimo flip front that i use for commuting and it does a job especialy the drop down sun visor. Its a lot heavier than my trusty raid2 .

Aaaand another for the noise. My V2RR also loved letting in water down the inside of visor. Went away to Caberg, came back - still shite so ended up with tape across top.
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.
Strange, my V2RR isn't that noisy. I've never worn earplugs with it or found it necessary due to the noise, maybe it just fits me very well?

I've had a Vox for about 10 months now and it's been good. Removable lining easy to remove visor which comes with the pinlock pins and plenty of vents. Also comes with a chin curtain and drop down shades, handy.
Bad points are water getting to the inside of the visor and can maybe be a bit noisy but I've never needed ear plugs.
