Never clean a bike. Ever. I bought a filthy Bandit, cleaned so much crud off it it turned out to be a GS125. true story.  Wink

It's the thick film of crud on mine that is preventing new dirt getting to the paint and ruining it!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
