Dogbones 25mm rise

So, I saw a listing on eBay for these dog bones to give the bike a 25mm raise at the rear,
Advertised as 2nds, £10, well, couldn't say no to £10.
Turned up and for something that sits on the bottom of the bike and won't be seen I don't see how they can be classed as '2nds' their quality control must be unbelievable because there's not a mark on them.

Mine is jacked up & it turns in sharply


As part of my renovations ive now just dropped the yokes so now ive got a double whammy of skitty but sharpyness!!!

Dogbones are a 10 minute job with an extra pair of hands so I'll probably do them tomorrow, but for £10 I couldn't let them go by!

Pardon the silly question - but what does that actually do to the handling?

Makes the bike turn in quicker and sharper - the wheel base is essentially shortened so you also get a bit of ground clearance

Not only that but as it puts more weight over the front I believe it changes preload and compression on the rear shock, I'm on a thou shock with spring swapped over but still on full preload and at 40mm sag (this is with the topbox and daily gear I carry for work) fingers crossed it will get me closer to the magic 35mm
