Hi All, anyone know the difference between the V system and the Mark 7 versions please?? Thinking of putting one on my bike and wondered which and why theyre different.

I think they're the same thing, just renamed to the 'v system' after they brought out the super duper overpriced electronic one. Big Grin
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Not sure if it's the models you're talking about, but one has a larger reservoir - I think it's marked "touring" or something like that.

The touring model is also known as the HCR, or high capacity reservoir. That big boy fits behind your number plate with the regular reservoir mounted next to it.

The hcr is better if you have very limited space under the seat, such as the fz1. They reckon you can get a few thousand miles of lubing out of one of them. Been a long time since I've had one, so I couldn't say really.

I've got the HCR on my FZ6 and I generally only need to top it up once or twice a year (I'm average about 9,000 miles for the last three years).
