Thing is, there's nothing there I don't already have and little there I'd be willing to buy without knowing a lot more about the quality of the gear.

£40 for a flip-front helmet? It may be great, but I wouldn't want to chance it.

This weeks MCN paper has a 10% voucher for this stuff, although the voucher wasn't working this lunchtime. But store manager give the socks for nowt with roughly worked out about the same! Not shown on the ads, but they also had ladies thermal tops in, so my wife will be happy, from a feminist and warmth point of view... Smile

Got some baselayer kit last time from Lidle which was good. Also got a windstopper shirt from Aldi last year which was very good, they aren't showing it on their w/s yet, but it will be worth a look when they get the gear in on 10th March just in case they have that as well.  I reckon both their underjacket base layer stuff is good for the money. Wouldn't buy a helmet, but I did get some winter boots which were great fro the price. ( not the cruiser type they are advertising tho).

Got some Gloves for £15 and also a full waterproof suit for only £12.33 I think, which quite frankly is an absolute bargain, full zip with storm flap at the bottom, adjustable legs and arms (with velcro straps to tighten both) and fits exceptionally well over my gear.

Its as good quality as some of the ones I tried on in Fowlers, but they cost at least £40 and up
