OEM clutch cable

Hi

about a year ago i was quoted about £90 for a clutch cable from my local Yam dealer. i think i posted about this and people agreed...that really was what yamaha charged for them.

Went into the same dealers today to order one (been saying up for a year  Big Grin  ). didnt have one so they've ordered one....cost £47?????

im SURE they used to be £90ish...i am dreaming?

Pretty sure Fowlers and the like charge around the 50 mark - you should def go with OE tho, I tried an aftermarket one from Wemoto for 20 odd quid and it lasted less than a 1000 miles. S

im wondering if he originally quoted me a throttle cable...or exup cable - he definitley quoted me £90 the first time!

yes OEM all the way.....heard the horror stories about the cheaper ones.

Exup cable is wallet-numbing 100 odd quid I think, so maybe it was that

oh...also forgot to say...OEM cush drive rubbers from yamaha....




......£56.  :'(

WHY SO MUCH??? you buy things like a single bolt or a nut and they charge about £4, im not joking.
