so have we decided what battery to use yet?
#1
had the dreaded click of death last week and a 20 mile ride didn't put enough in for a start.
so have we decided that good old lead acid is still the dogs or has the agm found favour with the forum?
just asking like as a new one will be ordered just after xmas.
The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money!

Buy one with the highest Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) possible.
The original had 135 CCA
The motobat in the previous post has 175 CCA
The Yuasa YT14B-BS has a CCA of 210.
The higher the CCA the less it takes out of the battery when starting.
Usually high CCA = higher price but should last better.

Mine was a 1050. Cant remember what size/model no. of motobatt. did a bit of research online and found the right one to fit, then got one off Amazon of all places.
It was healthily cranking the bike over at about -5 degrees after I finished a night shift and scraped the ice off the bike!

used motobatt now for a while on my bikes and cant fault them, still got a yuasa 14b on the fazer and its been spot on too. Its been on for maybe 2 years and starts the bike straight up even when its left standing for weeks.
