Pot Hole Damage
#1
I recently whacked into a pot hole causing damage to the back tyre and wheel rim. The tyre wall had 2 x one inch splits which eventually started to bulge a little. The rim of the wheel was left dented and looked buckled spinning it round. I took some pictures of the damage as well as the pot hole and sent them to the Local Authority along with the bill for £168 to repair the dent and a replacement new tyre.....got a letter in saying payment will be made in full, hallefukkinluyah for some common sense...well done to the claims department I'm guessing he must of been a biker

Nice one. I wonder how long before they repair it?

We've got a small off road track developing near one of the roundabouts on my way home from work, I'm thinking of changing route cos it's not far from becoming dangerous and I could do without the hassle of smashing into the side of a car/lorry

We have a similiar problem, I think the council want us all to hone our skills on enduros and they are creating the tracks for us.

You were luckier than me when I ruined two car alloy wheels on Essex's awful roads back in June. They hide behind the fact that they "inspect" them every three months and repair them when they are seen as "dangerous" That gets them away with anything, because I got nothing. (Because they inspect them and repair them when seen necessary) Within a couple of weeks of that, the local paper reported that the council had just spent £1.1 million repairing over 20,000 potholes! Obviously the first repairs since the previous winter! They have their own legal team here in Chelmsford, housed in a large building, paid by us with our taxes, and if I am going anywhere with this, I need to take them on. Far too costly I would think.
