If you get trouble with the BT helpdesk, ask them to explain what could be wrong when you are using a known good phone in the test socket and still get these results.
If they say 'I don't know' then you can respond with 'Well how the ****ing hell am I supposed to know then? Your the 'phone' company.
Since they won't be able to answer that they'll send an engineer out.
any news on ur little problem?
was it the line?
It ain't what you ride, it's who you ride with!!!
Finally got somewhere! Phoned southern again telling them the problem. They then text saying the fault is on the line, they don't need access to the house and they can't fix it until the 18th. Useless!! But at least it'll be fixed then hopefully!
Fekkinn useless service. Never heard of Southern. Isn't openreach responsible for the line?
I think Openreach are the web bods.
Openreach do all the cabling.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
Hi mate, i'ts an earth short on the line causing what we telephone engineers call a ring trip. Dissconnect the 2 wires going to terminals A and B in the master socket(main line in) and then ring your number. If it rings correctly you know the fault is internal, if it trips it's the external line.
cheers
Ma called me tonight, on her phone!! Apparently a very nice man came and fixed her line. He knocked on the door and said the wire outside had rotted or something, so he's replaced it, free of charge. she gave him a cake she'd just baked and off he went.
I did all the sorting of the problem. I didn't get a cake. Life is so unjust....
;-) Happy though!
what about cakes for all those that gave advice too??
not me I'm on a diet!! :rollin
It ain't what you ride, it's who you ride with!!!
remember to ask them for a refund on rental charges for the days she has had the faulty phone for
