Sold my Fazer - now bikeless and truly gutted
#1
I used to be an irregular member on here but I tended to just drop in and out now and then. Think my old name was brightsparking or brightspark - can't remember and could get the linky to work to mail admin and gave up.

Anyway I just sold my 03 plate with 13K miles privately for £2K. OK so the new owner hasn't quite got a complete bargain, but he's getting a great bike, marvellous condition and first to see it bought it. Big Grin

However, I am truly feeling bereft of something that was part of my life for more than 9 years. I only sold it as it wasn't getting used.

Just shows how these bikes hold their values.

Oh well, best get the campervan sorted out - it's onto the T25 forum from now on... :'(

I think a 13k mile 03 plate was a bargain at that price. He could ride it all next summer and still sell for that if he keeps it tidy.

Fair point - the stealers are pitching around 2500 for this age (and sometimes even older) and mileage but realistically private sales are asking a good bit less. At 2K I was happy I wasn't giving it away and ebay was giving me a load of watchers and no biters at starting price 1850 or buy it now 2150. I know everyone on ebay wants a bargain but I ended up punting it via gumtree.

At the time of selling everything was moving a bit slow and prices are a bit weak so at the end of the day two happy peeps - well at least one as I don't have a bike any longer....
