Ooooops just received the dreaded letter throught the post got caught by camera doing 97 on a dual carridgeway near south milford hotel might not be riding or driving soon :'(

I'm guessing, if you plead guilty (if they even take it to court, and don't just do a statutory thing), it'll be 6 points and 150 notes. Seem to remember somebody else on here having a similar close call?

a few years back got caught doing 102 on m40.pleaded guilty in court and gave a bit of a sob story about letting my wife and family down and got £350 fine and 3 points.....few years ago maybe as much as 10 
One, is never going to be enough.....

This is mad. I got 6 points, £260 fine with £100 costs for going..........wait for it...........40 mph :eek  Couldn't believe it. Blackwall tunnel, 10 o clock at night, duel carriageway, hardly any other traffic......HARSH.

97 on a NSL is below the usual ton+ where you get invited to court.  Unless it's a bad stretch of road you'd normally just get a NIP followed by the conditional offer of £60 and 3 points (or an invitation to attend a speed awareness course if you are really lucky).

Reading the blurb the speed awareness course runs up till 88 mph and it says dont think about asking for the course if you are over this speed :-(
