pretty miffed at the mo' with ebay sellers.
in my opinion (not that it matters much), if you pay £15 postage for a givi pannier to be delivered then i'd expect it 48hrs delivery, not 8 days and counting.
it'll be interesting for see which of the 2 i bought get here first, the £6.99 or the £15 as i paid for both on the same day.
i think that some sellers think that they have little or no obligations once the money is in their account and forget that ebay is just a (very expensive) shop window and that they are the shop keeper.
yours miffed and pannier-less
SLG
oh, the wingrack is fitted now
The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money!
I have noticed that a lot of sellers hugely over charge for postage as it gives them more money and ebay dont take a % of it. happens a lot with xbox games where ppl charge 3 or 3.50 postage for a 62p item (£1 once you allow for packing)
i offten have ebay races where i get 2 items or more on the same day hehe, it can be fun watching items arrive clearly posted same day and others posted allmost a week affter you pay.
What was the delivery time specified in the listing? If it does not meet this time complain and give a 1* on their feedback
Dont ask it's a chef thing
After 15 years EX-Fazer owner XJR. XJR gone FJR, FJR gone NEW FJR that's gone, now Triumph Tiger Explorer an CB400n Superdream sold BMW 650 Funduro sold Now a R1200GA Adventure Rallye next ? OK so where next turns out to be V-Strom 1050 NEXT?
I'm less bothered about what sellers charge as it's there on the auction and you've agreed to it when you buy but what gets my goat is when a seller says you'll have the item on a certain day then doesn't even send it to you! Like the CD player I've been waiting a week to be posted. Or the bar end weights that didn't get posted for 11 days after the auction - then it took a week to get a refund!
I like it when people over charge for postage. For example
Bit of kit that is £75 new - someone is selling it secondhand in an auction starting at 99p. I've expect people to pay £40ish posted max.
Now if the muppet puts postage of £15 the most they can get is £25 on a good day. They also piss off so many people that they ignore the listing and it sells for £10 less than they wanted - so the listing ends at £10+£15 postage. The seller thinks well I get £5 profit from postage -but in this case they sold it to me and I only buy big stuff within 10-15 miles and I always collect. Its not long ago I got a lawnmower for pennies.

I always thought that ebay rules,or guidelines, stated that you should not be making a profit on p&p, and you can only charge what it actually costs for the p&p.
If you think someone is ripping you off for p&p or not meeting the delivery time report them to ebay.
ebay rules say you can cover your costs - materials etc - not just the cost of the stamp.
It's to stop scams where someone sells something for 1p plus £99.99 P&P and when there's a problem, they say "fine, we'll refund the purchase price, but not the postage!"
