Fork protectors?
#1
Is there anything you can buy to protect your forks from chips and denting? I've just noticed a tiny little dent (1mm or so) and want to prevent it deteriorating over time.

In my mind, if there was some sort of hard plastic shield or summat that would be ideal but a quick Google search only showed the R&G protectors that are designed to protect them in a crash.

Does what I want exist?

google: venture shield i use this stuff its clear film and sold by 3m to protect fairings ect you can buy a kit pre-cut for your own bike or you can buy just bits and make your own cut-offs ive done loads of bikes from my own to friends, fairings-forks-engine covers you name it you can apply to anything infact my gf brought me  a ltd edition shoei for my B-day and to keep it like new ive done the helmet as you can buy specific helmet kits,  i always do the fork legs as well to stop unwanted chips, once applied its very hard to even see the film.

Alterantive you can buy a roll of the clear stuff oxford sell but i find that stuff not to my likeing and it peels off.

Here's the link for venture shield http://www.venture-shield.co.uk/

This is the company that sells me the stuff http://showtrax.net/ and by what ever size you require very cheap

Here's a pic of some forks i did and the black yokes as well you should be able to see the outline.

Dave - That's PERFECT!

After I posted I thought in my mind that actually some sort of clear protective film would be ideal instead of ugly plastic things. Then you come along with this.

I could kiss you  :kiss
