Free ICE stickers for bikers
#1
The Sussex Safer Roads Partnership is offering free ICE (In Case of Emergency) stickers for all bikers.

This is a simple sticker with a QR code that goes on the back of your helmet and, AIUI, when scanned, will provide contact details of your Next of Kin and any other important information.

Thanks I will look into this. I guess its not restricted to Sussex bikers.
just wondering if this is any better than having the same info in your jacket pocket and how many authorities have the scanning equipment and the training to check for it on your helmet. Not dissing it and in essence its great idea but in the event of a disastrous off the last thing on their mind is oh we must tell Mrs fazersharp - isn't it ?
Good for any other medical info needed I suppose.
I dont know - im not against it - just having a conversation

Also wouldn't it be a good idea if the registration info and a sticker came with every helmet sold in the UK
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

As far as I can see, it's just a standard QR code, so any phone would read it.

Also it's probably easier to spot the code on a casualty's helmet and scan it than start rummaging through their pockets to see if they have any contact info.
