Is it worth replacing the FZ6 OEM Forks with R6 Forks?
#1
If you find that the OEM FZ6 forks are a bit soft and don't give much feedback or control in the bends, here's a video that someone posted on YouTube when they upgraded the OEM FZ6 forks with R6 ones.

Fixed the link to the video - bkd

@Grahamm - I have fixed the YT link, all you need to do is when in edit mode, click on the 'insert a video' then click on video type and select YT and then paste the video link in the url field. And I cleaned up the posts from the thread.

Looking at the video, wouldn’t it have been easier to installed an R6 mudguard, front wheel and spacers..?

I don't actually even recall posting that!

I presume I just saw it and thought it might be of interest to people in here...

Heh, no bother. It might be worth adding this link to the FZ6 FAQ thread.

It's an improvement over what's there as OE for sure.  The downside is the cost of finding everything you need in good condition and/or getting them to that state, is probably more or getting very close than the cost of having your forks re-valved cheapest option or fitting new internal valve cartridge   Those are just examples there're others offering the same services so choice is yours.

Both will give a massive improvement over OE that said it wall also highlight how bad the rear shock is  Rolleyes
